Every month we will feature one of our favorite cheeses currently in the case, and offer it at a discounted price. Hopefully you will all take this as an opportunity to try something that may typically be out of your comfort zone. And for our first ever cheese of the month. Drum roll please…
This Australian blue has long been one of my top cheeses (and this is coming from a serious blue cheese lover). Made on King’s Island south of Melbourne, this cow’s milk cheese is named after the powerful winds that blow across the island. Sweet, fruity and easy to eat, this cheese is reputed to be made from cows with the sweetest milk in the land. Perfect for blue lovers with a bit of a sweet tooth, and mild enough to convert even that staunchest blue hater. Not only does it have personality, but it has looks to match. A handsome wax rind makes this cheese a stunner-perfect for any cheese plate or course.
For the month of March we will be practically giving this cheese at $13/lb (regularly $15/lb). Be sure to swing by a try a little- I’m sure you’ll fall in love just like I have. And don’t forget to check in at the beginning of every month to meet the latest Cheese of the Month!
